www.scoobysworkshop.com A lot of times you hear people say that you must take one rest week every six weeks, is that true? Does it help you gain muscle faster? Maybe, It depends!

@daram1 you should lift medium weights with 8-12 reps each exercise, cuz if you go to heavy to fast you could hurt yourself. You should also check out my channel, cuz i have free fitness videos up in the style of p90x and insanity. I also have added features like displaying the targeted muscles in each exercise and a countdown timer. If you like them please sub and share with your friends. Have a good one 🙂

@FredTrasnslated
I read that steroids can stunt your growth in your teens, not lifting.

‘As many of you are’? Most people are NOWHERE close to overtraining, and have no idea what it takes. They’re problem just undereating, underresting and underplanning. Real overtraining will leave you in a hospital room (rhabdo). As for purposed rest weeks, stupid idea. If anything, having a deload week.

Hey Scoob! I just got gym membership, I could buy some dumbells and barbells but I live in a dorm that is practically the size of a closet. I don’t like to drink beer but I like the harder stuff (i.e. vodka, sake) will that add extra unnecessary calories?

@groovybody
dude i sugest u only go 3 days a week to the gym take the weekends off to stuff ur face and recover this is what i do and i have had great results, as i started only able to bench 30 Kg now im benching 40Kg. granted progress can be slow at times due to illness, and that can even set u back but dont give up u can always work up again. hope this helps 😉

@groovybody Or should I increase protein intake somewhat – I must admit my diet wasnt very focused on that, but as I said I even gained some fat pounds during whole process. RSVP if you dont mind 🙂

Hey Scooby.
When I started shaping my body [3 months ago] I was able to lift more than I can do now, or at least the same. Since my body mass didn’t drop at all as I havent done much cardio during that time, I’m curious what reason stays behind it.
I train 60-80 mins 5 days a week [as I’m not very fast person – my ‘drill’ is rather low], plus 2 recovery days during which I take care of minor muscle groups – abs and calves/wrists [takes 30 mins per session]. Will reducing intensity help anyhow?

@daram1 Heavy weights for mass. But if you’re just starting be careful not to hurt yourself =)
