*UPDATE* (5/10/11) Wow! I cannot believe how popular my video has become! First, I’d like to thank everybody who has watched my progress and of course for the many kind words. Since making this video I have been hitting the gym even harder, slowly learning more and more about my body and how it responds to certain lifting routines. I’ve managed to pack on an additional 20lbs. of mucle! I’m now sitting at a solid 170lbs. If you’ve noticed, my 4-day split has become a 5-day split. I now do shoulders and back on seperate days. This makes it easier for me to go even heavier and maximize my gains when each has its own day. I’ve also added an intra-workout supplement called IntrAbolic. It’s fantastic stuff. Gives you a boost of energy and keeps your body flooded with all of the amino acids you need DURING your workout. I highly recommend it! I’m not sure exactly when, but an updated video is definitely in the future. Thank you again to everyone for all of the support. Lift hard! I started my muscle-gain journey about 10 months ago when I got tired of being the scrawny guy that could blow away with the wind, and decided to document my progress as much as possible. I know there are not a ton of pictures and not very good posing, but I hope it’s sufficient. I’ve worked very hard to get where I am now. My body is very stingy about putting on weight, especially muscle. I have an incredibly high metabolism, but I’ve tried my best to work around that. I put on a solid 35 pounds of

it wasn’t a lay off. simply in the summer break i wasn’t able to go to a gym.

  2. VinceDelMonte says:

Yah bro. There is no “quick fix” for a 3 month lay-off. Just hit the training and nutrition twice as dedicated and consistent as before. You got this!

  3. NEONATOR1 says:

actually, i did. i’m focusing on the minor things?

  4. VinceDelMonte says:

No bro. If you are still in a calorie deficit overall, you will lose fat. Make sure that last meal of the day is a protein + fat meal, or at least a protein + low glycemic carb meal. – Team Del Monte

    Thanks for the support!

  8. Vinnie Leone says:

Hey Alex, getting ripped is not about doing cardio 3x per day. Follow a well balanced meal plan, a workout plan, cardio 3x per WEEK, and limit/remove all cheat meals. You’ll be shredded in no time!

  9. Vinnie Leone says:

All calories are not created equal! Don’t just eat junk food for the sake of extra calories. A better approach to adding extra calories is to add healthy fats to each meal. Check out Vince’s blog he just came out with a bunch of great new articles.

  10. Vinnie Leone says:

Sign up for Hypertrophy MAX its closed to the public until December I believe, but once it opens Vince might toss in a free year membership of LL with all the seasons. He did for us!

  11. Vinnie Leone says:

I’ll let Vince reply to your message, but I’ve been following Vince for awhile now so I kind of know what he is going to say. Eating before bed is not necessarily going to make you gain fat unless you eat some crappy hi-glycemic carb meal with fats (like pizza). Eating a slow digesting protein+fats meal before bed is actually going to be hormonally beneficial.

yeah.. i used to be skinny guy here
until i found this popular site:
    MusclesMaximizer [d0t] info
and it did what it promised! i
gain a lot of muscles in just a
    short weeks. You should also
    try this man!

  30. tubeuserhack says:

A friend of mine who is an ectomorph and with really high metabolism took around 3 years to put on 50 pounds of lean muscle! He is 170 something now. The thing is, it takes a long time, especially if you are not the kind of person who have enough time to eat 5 to 6 times a day! Supplements didn’t really help him much either! He is on a 4 day split.

  31. CSSFenken says:

It takes months or even years, not just a few weeks.

  32. 4ssHunt3rr says:

  47. Militarized says:

Great vid and I hope others find it inspirational. I’m an ectomorph as well and really slim but I guess unlike you I’m fairly happy with my size (maybe it’s cause I’m taller) so I haven’t done anything this extreme.

  48. fantydad says:

I am so impressed man. I am an ectomorph and extremely slim. Can I start you workout routine and the supplements you have mentioned? I hope they have no side affects? Please reply, I am sick of being thin now. 🙁
