Muscle Angels® Massagers for Pets Proven Effective for Animals Suffering from Arthritis

Minimizes referred pain from Arthritis, and helps handicapped pets who suffer from repetitive stress injuries and muscle atrophy.

Brookline, MA (PRWEB) May 25, 2011

Muscle Angels®, a Norbis Innovations Company, LLC, therapeutic massage product—Muscle Angels® for Pets—is now being used and recommended by canine rehab experts for its effectiveness in treating arthritic pets.

Chris Cranston, MPT, CCRP, owner of FlowDog, a canine aquatic fitness and rehabilitation facility in Waltham, Massachusetts, uses Muscle Angels® for Pets in her practice. “In my practice, we see a large population of animals suffering from arthritic conditions. The simple, yet powerful, design of the Muscle Angels massager is brilliant. With it, I am able to effectively perform effleurage and petrissage, as well as trigger point release, acupressure, myofascial work, and cross friction massage – all of which are effective techniques for reducing pain from arthritis.“ says Cranston.

“Furthermore, I continue to be amazed at how quickly my canine patients relax when I use the Muscle Angel® on their sore or tight muscles; they close their eyes, sigh, and melt under its touch. In the case of my own dog, Dagney, using regular massage with Muscle Angels® reduces her anxiety, and, while not clinically proven, appears to keep her stress-induced seizures at bay!”

Cranston continues “Using Muscle Angels® is easy and gives owners the confidence they need to help their pets feel better — even if they have no prior massage experience. As a result, with regard to completing physical therapy and massage exercises at home, I have found another unexpected benefit — owner compliance increases, as they feel comfortable using the Muscle Angels® device, and are thrilled by the positive and immediate impact it has on their pets. The Muscle Angels® massager allows me to perform effective therapeutic techniques on my pet patients while preserving my own musculoskeletal system. It’s a win – win!”

Susan Z. Robins, president and founder of Muscle Angels®, and avowed animal lover, says, “I am delighted that Muscle Angels® work as well on animals as they do on elite athletes. It is so gratifying to see injured animals getting back to living full and active lives.”
